Join Leeds City Museum online this Easter for lots of RUBBISH activities to use up some recyclable materials in your home.
Join us online for Live crafts on a Tuesday, Sensory Storytime on a Wednesday and have a go at the activity ideas we’re sharing on social media on Thursdays and Saturdays. Perfect for keeping the kids entertained before or after outdoor adventures, or on a rainy day!

Sensory Storytime: Jellyfish and Plastic Bags

Book “Sensory Storytime: Jellyfish and Plastic Bags” on Eventbrite
Session delivered via Zoom
A sensory story adventure where you make the sound effects, feel and smell parts of the story, and have fun together with other families. We go on a simple scavenger hunt (around your home) at the start, so we can create a sensory story together. We then read a book together with the added sensory fun! This week’s theme is Plastic Bags and Jellyfish.
Free, must be booked on Eventbrite, suggested ages 2-8 years, all welcome. Session delivered via Zoom.
Recycled Magazine Kite

Let’s go fly a kite, after we’ve crafted it from recycled magazine pages, sticky tape, string and some straws! A simple activity idea shared on the Leeds City Museum Facebook page at 10am.

Let’s have a laugh and have a go at carving a banana into a dolphin. We love crafting from food and even better when you can eat it at the end, so nothing goes to waste. Join us live on Zoom. Families can Show and Tell their creations as they go along.
