Join us for our first museum late event, inspired by our current exhibition – Living with Machines.
Come along to experience the museum after hours with music, informal workshops, chats with curators, and a quiz. Horsforth Brewery will be providing the bar so pop in to try their locally brewed beers whilst you soak up some culture.
What’s On
6pm: Museum opens
7 – 8pm: Workers’ protest ballads, some of which are the only surviving copies, on loan from the British Library, performed to original music by Leeds-based folk musicians. Hear the ballads on Soundcloud and come to see the performance in person.
8.30 – 9.30pm: Can you quiz it? Yes you can! A Tribe Called Quiz… quiz
Drop in all evening:
– Traditional weaving kits to have a go and finish off at home
– Create a planter workshop with local artist Eve Finlay-Miller
– See some of our Herbarium collection and discover how to make your own
– Meet the curator of the Living with Machines exhibition, John McGoldrick – Curator of Industrial History
