Leeds School of Arts presents Suzanne Lacy: What kind of city, an online talk about her socially engaged art practice and public work, spanning four decades.

Suzanne Lacy will give an overview of her social-practice work with older women, in both her current and historic projects. She will discuss Whisper, the Waves, the Wind (1983-1984), the earliest video work to enter the Leeds collection which is currently featured in our Radical Reel exhibition.

Lacy will also cover her work in the exhibition Uncertain Futures at Manchester Art Gallery, which addresses labour and ageing. She will also talk about her new projects that will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at the Whitworth Gallery.

This virtual talk has been programmed in collaboration with Helen Little, Curator of Exhibitions at Leeds Art Gallery. The talk will be hosted online. Please register for your free place via Eventbrite.
