Join us for some family fun and activities in the gallery over the summer school holidays. On selected dates in August, join artist Kate Babayan to make paper boats that tell your very own story. Using paper from maps and newspapers, Karen will guide you through the activity using a variety of media including print, paint, collage, writing and drawing to decorate your papers, then with simple fold techniques, your boat will appear. Boats will gradually fill Artspace to create a flotilla that reflects the story of all our journeys. There’s no need to book ahead, just drop-in between 11am-4pm on the following dates:

2-5 August & 9-10 August.

If you can’t make the above dates then you can still take part in the self led activity with our origami how-to-guide from 6-8 August & 11-12 August.

Don’t forget to explore the gallery during your visit! Pick up our Shifting Perspectives exhibition activity sheet from reception to hunt down the artworks to discover how we can make the world a better place for everyone!
