The Lost Sheep Trail

This Easter the sheep of Kirkstall Abbey have lost their flock and it’s your task to round them up in our lost sheep trail! But our sheep don’t just come in white or brown – look around the ruins to find our rainbow, gingham, and polka dot flocks and see how many you can spot.

The Yorkshire Cistercian monks of Kirkstall Abbey were famed for their loved of sheep farming and had hundreds living on their surrounding granges.

The entrance to the ruins is through the shop. Feel free to bring a picnic if the weather is dry, or pop across the road to the Gatehouse Café for a warming drink and piece of cake. We have plenty of vegan options available too!

Don’t miss the Bunny Fun at Abbey House Museum where you can hop your way through the Victorian streets and pick up a craft bag to take home.
