Outdoor cinema, but not like you’ve seen before! Returning to Kirkstall Abbey this summer, the Frontier Sapiens Film Festival is the UK’s largest open-air adventure film tour and is bringing inspiration and adventure to the big screen OUTDOORS.

Join us for an evening under the stars watching a collection of extraordinary short films featuring epic adventures, cultural stories and environmental issues from some of the world’s best filmmakers. Huge new ski descents on the iconic Baffin Island, the rehabilitation of race horses in the mountains of Mallorca, a visionary base jump in Pakistan, and lots more. The 2024 line-up is not one to be missed.

Drinks and snacks will be available at the venue throughout.

There may be a small amount of swearing in some of the films. The films are recommended for 12+.

With the exception of guide dogs, no dogs or other animals are allowed at the event.

Tell your friends, book your tickets, pack your picnics and join us in August! Visit (or ‘@frontiersapiens’ on Instagram and Facebook) for more details.
