Jill McKnight in conversation with Griselda Pollock and Alison Rowley
14 July 2022
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Venue Leeds Art Gallery
This is a free online only event hosted via Zoom. The talk will be accompanied by live BSL interpretation.
Join us in conversation with Leeds-based artist Jill McKnight for a discussion about her current exhibition Desire Lines which resulted from a residency exploring both the collections of Leeds Art Gallery and the British Library. Jill will be joined by art historian Professor Griselda Pollock and cultural theorist Dr Alison Rowley, for a wide-ranging conversation that touches on broader topics around domesticity, gender, artistic interventions into the archive, and working class creativity and voices. We will discuss how these are represented in the archive, in Jill’s work and in the collection at Leeds.
You can find out more about the project via the British Library blog.
