Join us as we celebrate Gothica in all its forms at the Leeds City Museum Festival of Gothica.

Talks – from 11.30am

We have a programme of talks on Gothic Literature by Leeds Libraries at 11.30am, Uncovering the Hidden Histories of St George’s Field by Morticia at 12pm,Yorkshire Witchcraft by Dr Debora Moretti at 12.30pm and a Tightlacers Guide to Corsetry by Jodie Lee Linley and Vanessa Jones.

We also have a Cabinet of Curiosities Market in partnership with Advintageous at Leeds Kirkgate Market 10am whilst 4.30pm. Delve into dark antiquity, curio and the weird and wonderful! Entertainment from Hex Tarot, Leeds Swordpunk, Medusa Gothic Morris Dancers, Trix Aerial,  Lili Tenebrae Gothic Belly Dancer, SPX make up demo by Khaos Kreations!

Fashion Show – 2pm – SOLD OUT

This year we celebrate alternative fashion showcasing history, genre and lifestyle. The models celebrate diversity in size, age, gender and ethnicity BUT are all uphold an alternative lifestyle.

Exhibitors include West Yorkshire Playhouse Costume hire, Legend Bridal, Engineers of Desire, Quiver & Quill, Lady Sea Leather, Leeds Community Clothing Exchange and Sohos!

The show will be hosted by acclaimed poet, novelist and March Violet Rosie Garland.

There is an advisory age limit of 14+ but younger people can attend if accompanied by a parent/guardian.
