Covid-19 regulations

Please wear a face covering in enclosed spaces, unless you are exempt. This is the recommended government guidance but it isn’t mandatory.

In the interest of the health and safety of all of our staff and visitors, our staff are wearing masks.

Please make use of our hand sanitising stations and observe signage to help us to protect everyone.

Entrance and navigation

Entry to Abbey House Museum is ticketed, you can purchase tickets in the shop.

Visitors do not need to pre-book unless they are attending a specific event or within school holiday periods when we expect to be busier.

Your visit

We have guidance on entry to the Museum and Café:

  • Please wear your face covering in the shop and museum, unless you are exempt. You do not need to wear a face covering in the café unless you choose to.
  • Personal space is lovely. Please be mindful of this when moving around the Museum and café.
  • Feel free to use the hand sanitiser provided, particularly when interacting with the displays.
  • You can still use our Track and Trace QR codes if you wish to do so. We advise you do to help keep everybody safe.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, or if you’ve been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 10 days, please don’t visit and stay safe until you are well again.
